Principal Miss Emma Stewart IDTA (FT., FBt.)
In July 2008, Miss Emma Stewart founded Performance Academy of Theatre Arts. Emma began dancing at the age of 3. From a young age she began performing in professional productions including pantomimes and cabarets. Emma was successful enough to win the Kent Tap Championship at the age of 15 and also reached the finals of the All England Dance Competition, where she performed at the Peacock Theatre, London. Emma went onto perform in numerous pantomimes playing the principal roles of Aladdin, Dick Whittington and Snow White. Emma starred as a singer/dancer for numerous summer season shows, cabarets and Variety Shows including performing before the Chinese Ambassador at Westminster Hall, London.

Emma went onto perform in numerous pantomimes playing the principal roles of Aladdin, Dick Whittington and Snow White. Emma starred as a singer/dancer for numerous summer season shows, cabarets and Variety Shows including performing before the Chinese Ambassador at Westminster Hall, London. She was an original member of G-FORCE, a dance troupe created for Gillingham Football Club, where she performed on match days. In conjunction with this, she was asked to perform in road shows for Invicta FM and Capital Radio, including the Invicta FM Party in the Dark concert, Hop Farm, Kent and the Kent Awards hosted by Chris Tarrant.
Television credits include: Video for ex Blue Peter presenter John Noakes - Carlton TV, Soccer Sunday - Meridian TV, Translation video for German TV - Carlton TV. Emma has also been used as a model for fashion and art colleges.
Emma successfully went on to gain her teaching qualifications and is a Fellowship member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). She has over 12 years teaching experience and is often requested to run workshops as a guest teacher. Emma is registered with Medway Council as a recognised sports coach and is a regular on the Festival 4 Stars judging panel. Miss Jaime Millington ISTD (CDE, FDI)
Miss Jaime began dancing from the age of 5. She went on to study at the Tiffany Theatre College before completing her teaching qualifications with the ISTD at the Deborah Capon College. Jaime is a member of the Steve Huggetts Hair Design Team and was involved in the Schwarzkopf Hair Show, London as a model/choreographer. She was part of the winning troupe at the Mardi Gras Challenge 2005, Sadler Wells, took part in dance workshops in Dublin, Spain and Paris and performed her end of year showcase at The Shaw Theatre, London. Jaime has been teaching for 4 years and is extremely excited in helping to make Performance Academy of Theatre Arts a success! |
