about us
Performance Academy of Theatre Arts was established in July 2008 by Emma Lewis (Principal). Opening week saw the academy welcoming twenty pupils. That number has since grown to approximately 100 pupils. We are extremely proud of our success and reputation within the local area. We pride ourselves on the high standard of training that we provide, as well as maintaining a friendly and fun environment for all our pupils and their families.
Pupils have appeared in many professional productions including pantomimes at The Central Theatre - Chatham, The Woodville - Gravesend, Maidstone TV Studios and The Hazlitt - Maidstone. Pupils have also performed with The English Youth Ballet. Students have been accepted onto Associate programs that allow them to progress with their training alongside their regular classes. Our competition team members continue to achieve much success competing in regional festivals as well as being All England Dance National Finalists. Past pupils have successfully gained places at reputable universities and colleges such as Bird College, Miskin Dance College and Reynolds Performing Arts College, enabling them to further their performing arts studies.
